3RD ASEAN YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS CARNIVAL, SINGAPORE 2018
WHAT IS ASEAN YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS CARNIVAL?
The 1st ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival (“Carnival”) was launched in Malaysia in 2016 during its Chairmanship of ASEAN as the flagship event of the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council (AYEC). Philippines hosted the 2nd one in 2017. With Singapore taking over the Chairmanship of ASEAN this year, the 3rd edition of the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival will be held from 13-14 November in conjunction with the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit.
Themed ‘Smart Leaders: Smart Business’, the Carnival is in line with Singapore’s agenda to strengthen ASEAN to be a resilient and innovative region and connect ASEAN’s economies and businesses through digital technology.
About 300 invited top young business leaders are expected at the Carnival which seeks to create more opportunities for young business leaders to connect, interact and build relationships and networks across ASEAN and the region. The Carnival will feature the use of technology and analytics and there will also be plenaries where discussions are expected to take a more futurist approach and look at the impact of mega trends that will impact young business leaders in the region.
A key objective of the Carnival is to foster closer networking, interaction and collaboration amongst young business leaders in ASEAN and the region. During the sectoral roundtable and industry networking breakout sessions, there will be opportunities for participants to engage in a roundtable dialogue on the latest industry trends and developments, as well as network with each other.
The specific networking clusters currently identified are as follows:
– IT & Technology
– Agribusiness & Commodities
– Construction & Real Estate Development
– Supply Chain & Logistics
– Consumer & Lifestyle
